Our season is quickly approaching here in Collegeville. The boys are arriving on August 20th to go camping before we start training. Imagine a group of 40 college guys getting to know each other, playing yard games, and hanging around a campfire WITHOUT THEIR CELL PHONES. Yes, it is possible.
We have an incredibly talented incoming freshmen class. Last fall we led the league defensively with Saint Olaf. . .but we did not produce enough on the other end of the pitch. This freshman class has two of Minnesota’s top five scorers from last fall and another in the top twenty. Eight of them were all-state. One won AA Mr. Soccer and was named a high school all-American. We also have a player coming from Costa Rica and another from England. They are absolutely going to push returners to perform or find their way to the pitch themselves.
We are planning an alum/fan event prior to our match at Hamline on Saturday, October 15th. The match kicks off at 3:30 and the pregame will likely start at 1:00 at a local establishment. We will be getting more details out as we approach, but pencil it in if you can make it!
Lastly, our swag store will be open until August 18th. We’ve added a red replica jersey to the mix this time around.
